Admitted......
Well, we were admitted to Primary Children's Medical Center last night. We got our room around 2 am. When he got here his blood sugar was at 52. 60 is when they decide to give sugar. So he was pretty low. He was also dehydrated.
For right now the game plan is to continue to give fluids until he can take something orally. It's 8:30 am and he still has not been able to keep things down. He started his IV at 9 pm last night. He still hasn't peed, so I hope he isn't going to hold on to this fluid like he normally does.
Andy went home around three and will be back up later this morning.
Oh, and I am making sure they TRIPLE check any meds that he gets.
I will update later when we have a game plan.

Oh no! I was hoping to check your blog and see that he was doing okay this morning. I'm so sorry. But, I am also glad he is there now and getting some fluids. That poor little man. (And poor Mommy & Daddy!) Keep us posted when you can and we'll keep you all in our prayers.

I'm a new blogger and just found your site. So sorry Rhett is so sick. It is always so scary when my son gets sick. He's 24 but still doesn't communicate well enough to tell me what's wrong. I posted a little about him a few days ago.
