I Need Some Cheering Up....It's Rollcall time!!

Since I started this blog we have had way more hits than ever before. Word is getting out. So I am curious who you are, and how you found us.

I have turned on the anonymous comments for this, so let's all behave. If you don't have a blog that's ok, just click on the anonymous circle in the comment section, and tell us who you are! I have been getting lots of random emails from people I don't know, and it is really fun to talk to them and learn who they are!

Come on all you lurkers....time to make yourself known!!!

Okay......The cat's out of the bag.......

I keep getting Emails asking why everyone is offering prayers, and inquiring minds seem to want to know what is going on.

Andy was laid off of work today for the next 7 weeks, due to the company needing to get their production up and running. They are a small company, and I think that means no unemployment either. Which means he will be off from now until New Years, which means that we are screwed for Christmas, and Thanksgiving, and everything else in between.

I know that Andy and I will survive, but I worry about my kids. They have been through so much this year already. It's not their faults that all of this has happened. They have given up their home, their friends, their schools, and alot of Mom and Dad's attention. It just isn't fair to them.

This has been by far our hardest year ever, and I thought the last two were bad. Anyways, that sums it all up. I have decided not to ask why anymore, just to ask for the strength for our family to get through it.

What a fun idea!

I found your site through a comment you left on another site I was reading.

We have a 6 month old baby - Ruby - with Down Syndrome. I'm really enjoying reading other blogs about children with DS - I learn so much about what we may have ahead of us & what to watch out for. AND I get to see all the beautiful pictures!

We're in Central Wisconsin.

I found you after you found me : ). I want you to know that I pray for your family every night. I am so glad you called the doctor, I would have done the same thing. Better to be safe than sorry. I was thinking about how you said that Rhett just was not acting himself and I remembered that you mentioned that he too had a diaphragmatic hernia they recently found (at least that's what I think I remember). Did the doctor mention anything about the patch not staying in place. Kaden has reherniated 4 or 5 times, I can't think of the actual number right now. We were told that children with these hernias may need repaired maybe three times in their lifetime. That obviously hasn't been the case for us or another family we know (we met them at the Ronald McDonald House). That could be something to check into. Kaden, too, has a very high pain tolerance...so we have to go off of our gut instincts when we feel something is wrong. Again, I think you did the right thing and I pray that everything goes well at the appt, but that you get some kind of answer to why he doesn't seem to be acting himself. It's hard not knowing "WHY?" Well, take care and as I said before, I will continue to pray for your family. Amy

I found you at the old T21 online, but you probably know that. I hope things work out for you all soon. Been there and done that sweetie. It really sucks as I said before.

Like some of the others, I found you through your comments on another post.

We adopted an 11 yr old girl 5 yrs ago. She has some really serious emotional issues. It's amazing that people don't understand how anybody could love a child with that many problems, but we do. Hang in there with your son. It will be worth it in the long run.

I wish you Peace, Blessings, and a financial windfall to see you through the tough weeks ahead.
