Make A Wish......

Come along on our magical journey to the Wishing Place, where Rhett was able to make his wish.

When we got to the Wishing Place we were greeted with this sign.....

When you first walk in, there are tons of glass stars on the ceiling. Whenever a child's wish is granted they get to come here and have a huge party with friends and family. At this time they get their very own star etched with their name to raise to the ceiling......(More details to come on his party for those of you who live near by!!)

The pictures don't do it justice for the amazing sight that this is......

Then we went out back to the Secret Garden. As we entered we were each given a token to throw into the wishing pond, so everyone got to make a wish....

Rhett throwing his token into the pond.......

Then we got to follow the trail around the secret garden and see the waterfalls, and ponds with fish in them. Daddy carried Rhett so that he didn't take a "bath" in one of them. He signed bath the whole time we were out there.......

Rhett is seriously contemplating jumping out of daddy's arms into the pond in this picture.......

Eeek!! A rare family photo.....Chloee looks a little goofy, but hey, at least everyone was semi looking at the camera!!

After this we went inside and we all wrote down our wishes for Rhett on a piece of paper. Then we helped Rhett write his wish that he wanted granted on a paper, and we rolled it up and put it into this container.......

Last week Rhett received a key in the mail. This key is special, and opens up the "Wishing Room." Daddy is helping Rhett put his key in the key hole......

Opening the door........

The wishing room was this amazing round room lighted by all sorts of color changing lights. In of the room was a cone, and a free standing waterfall. When we first got in there each one of us took a turn reading our wishes for Rhett. Here is the kids reading their wishes for him......

Daddy reading his wish for Rhett......

Then Rhett and Daddy took the container with Rhett's wish in it, and followed the lights on the floor to a smaller cone behind the waterfall where Rhett put his container in the cone........

Then he followed the lights to the bigger cone in the middle of the room and put his container and smaller cone on top of the bigger cone. Now the Wishing Wizard receives his wish!!

YAY!!!! My wish is offical!!

And to end our day we took another family picture in the wishing room. This one included my sister who went with us to help with the kids and take pictures. Her and I are extremely close, and she is like a second mom to my kids. She's standing next to me in the brown shirt, and the box that she is holding is a wooden box that holds all of our wishes for Rhett in it, as well as one of the wishing tokens from the pond, and his magical key. Whenever he goes up to the wishing place for any event he gets to bring his key to visit the Wishing Room. (We are standing in front of the waterfall, although it isn't a very good quality photo...)

It was an amazing day. Rhett had fun, and they were so good to the whole family. I am supposed to call them when we get moved into our house so they can deliver his wish. We can't wait!!!! Thanks for sharing our Journey.

Oh I am crying! That must have been such an incredible place and experience!

When they grant his wish, I hope you take lots of pictures! You should consider making a music montage with these pics plus the next ones (after the wish is granted)...to the song from Cinderella (A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes). THAT would be a super awesome tearjerker video that I would watch over and over.

It's so awesome to see the blessings coming back to you and your family. xoxo

Wow! I had no idea they made such a production out of it...and you know what? I'm really glad that they do. These kids DESERVE a production, after being in and out of hospitals. I am sure Rhett will be thankful in the long run that he did not heighten the production by taking a "bath"! ;) Ya'll enjoy relaxing in front of that nice big fancy-schmancy TV! :D

What a great opportunity, he sure deserves it. It looks like the whole family had a good time. Good luck with surgery. We will all be praying for Rhett and your family.

Oh that was so cool! The Make A Wish organization is an amazing one. Angela was granted a wish back in February. I have a series of videos about it. They're all tagged as "make a wish" on my blog.

Great pictures Pam!! It's nice to see that your whole family got to go and have the special day together. That's cool that they have you go through all of that so it makes Rhett's wish more memorable. Keep the good news coming.
