Rhett's surgery went well!

Michelle here again. It is shift change in the PICU, so all hospital computers are full. I’m pleased to report that Rhett’s surgery was successful and he’s now in recovery. Praise God. Pam sounded tired, but relieved on the phone just now. Rhett has had a few apnea episodes due to his pain medication, but is doing well overall. I’ll thank you for Pam for all of your prayers.

She’ll be staying with Rhett at the hospital. Elliot was in for three days with this procedure, and I think Rhett will be in for five. I’m certain that Pam would welcome phone calls, and, if nothing else, continued prayers for Rhett’s speedy recovery.

I pray that this is the end of surgeries for a very long time. xo-s to all of the Birds!

Pam, I have been thinking of you today. I, too, didn't have a computer at the hospital but said to myself all day 'gotta check on Rhett tonight!' So tired that I am not blogging at all, but knew I wanted to check on Rhett!!
PLEASE know I was praying and thinking of you and the big guy all day today. I hated that I couldn't get on a computer sooner.
I will email you in a few days!! SO VERY PLEASED ALL WENT WELL! Give him kisses from Presley (and me too, of course!!)and love to you both!!

Pam it was so nice to meet you today in the surgery waiting room. Rhett is such a handsome little guy. I'm so happy he was finally able to get his surgery done and that it went well. Brylee's surgery actually went so well we were able to go home shortly after it was over. I hope Rhett recovers quickly. We will be thinking and praying for you.

Good for you Rhett that everything so far is going well. We're all hoping for a speedy recovery for you little guy.

We're going in for a MRI in a month to see if our son has a tehtered spine as well. I do hope not, but that you guys go through it gives me strength.
