Mi ViDa Loca.....

Life has been nuts in the last week at our house!! Last Sunday my sister took our family to the State Fair. Well, all of us minus Rhett who stayed with my mom so Andy and I could focus on our older kids for a while. It was a blast, we went to the Demolition Derby...It's kind of a tradition at our house to go to the Derby on the last day of the fair each year. We had oodles of fun, and I got to meet one of our blog readers that recognized us!! It was so cool. Hi Jessica!!

We always have to stop and see this....It's totally made from Butter, I feel my arteries clogging already.....
Chloee jumping on the Jumping Thingy?!?!?

Hunter Jumping on the Jumpy thingy too......

Koda jumping on the jumpy thingy.......
The Demolition Derby......

Hunter at the Derby........He is sooo much like his dad!!
Koda at the Derby.........slurping away.....
We had to create our own little Red Neck.....there wasn't enough of them around for us I guess....
Hanging out at the Derby, did I mention that Andy had food poisoning really bad, and we had to stop on the way up for him to loose his stomach contents? But there was no way he was missing the Derby!!

Then of course on Tuesday morning we left for a quick trip to California, to deliver a car to a customer that bought it online. It was a wonderful drive, and Rhett had so much fun with Mommy and Daddy to himself for almost 3 days straight.

On Wednesday we headed out to Santa Monica, which is supposed to be only about 45 min to an hour away from Valencia. But Andy and I got off on the wrong freeway....HOLY CRAP talk about crazy Freeways down there!!....Anyways, we ended up going through Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and I think we were in LA like 4 different times before we finally found our way to the ocean.

We got there in the mid morning, so it wasn't too busy. We went to the pier and had Rhett's face made out of clay....it doesn't look a thing like him....well, maybe if he didn't have Ds it might look like him...but anyways, it was cool, and they guy who did it was really nice.

Then we went down to the beach and played in the water for a while. We spent 3.00 on a shovel and pail, and it was the best 3.00 we ever spent Rhett had a blast digging in the sand. Of course my camera died right after I took the first pictures of Andy and Rhett in the ocean, so that was that.

I forgot to take my charger-

Along with my head.....ahem...

We also went and ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on the pier. It was so yummy, we had never been there before. They were all so great with Rhett, and everyone had to stop and say hi to him.

Anyways, here are some of the pictures that I DID get from our trip.

Rhett in the hotel room playing in the mirror....I really need to get a mirror like this in our house, he had so much fun...... Playing with Daddy in the ocean......

Rhett getting his face done....his face in this pict just kills me...too funny... The Pier in Santa Monica......
The view from the pier.......

Then we were home for a day and off to set up for the annual Wasatch Reptile Expo, that was also held at the fair grounds. It ran Saturday and Sunday, and was really cool. Many of you know that the way Andy dealt with almost loosing Rhett back in 2007, was by him getting into bearded dragons.

He started breeding them this year, and we ended up with a BUNCH of baby dragons. Many of you also know that Andy's dream is to own a pet store so that he can take care of Rhett, and make his own hours. We already have our business license, and the name of our company is Rhett's Pets. Right now we are just operating out of our garage, but some day we will have our own store.

Having a booth up at the Reptile Expo was just one step closer to this dream. I don't have the pictures downloaded right now off of my camera, but I will get them soon, for now you'll just have to see Chloee.....who made the front page of the Newspaper today, and was on the radio yesterday promoting the Expo.

We also came home with a 3 1/2 foot Savannah Monitor..........I'm still trying to figure out how Andy got his way with this one......

I'm glad your whole family had some good mom and dad time. The whole CA trip sounded great. I haven't been to CA since I was 16 or 17. I had thought about going back in a couple of years when Carson is a little older. As far a Bubba Gump, I guess I didn't realize it was a chain. I have been to the one in New Orleans.

Anyways, glad you guys are all home safe and sound,

Kaci

Crazy life is contagious! I'm glad you got some time with all the kids over the past week. I want to see the sculpture of Rhett too when you have time to snap a pic. HUGS

Sounds like you had a fun trip. Funny you should mention the bearded dragon. On Friday someone at school brought one in to show the class. Ever since, Amanda has been telling me how much she wants one. I am so not a pet person. What goes into owning a bearded dragon? And how much does one cost? Just curious... maybe she could talk her dad into one ;)
