Q&A's

What did the snake eat?
Well, It wasn't that Squish had just eaten, it was that she had eaten the previous morning, 2 10 lb frozen rabbits, and some salad.....She actually had to poop, which Chloee got to help her do. I know, gross but Chloee thought it was awesome!!

What happened to Andy's insurance through the Car Dealership? Well, it ended up being way too expensive and covered basically nothing. There was no way that we could afford that much money to come out of our paychecks. At least with zero insurance we can kind of put off paying them and just pay what we can on it. It screws up our credit, but it's so screwed up anyways it doesn't matter anymore.

Can't you get Medicaid for Rhett, or help through the state? Ha! Utah SUCKS for raising a child with chronic health needs or disabilities. Just because Rhett has a disability does not qualify him for any type of services. Everything is based on income, and you have to be poor to receive these benefit's.
There are waivers, but as someone mentioned in the comment section, that waiting list is over 7 years long. We are on it, trust me. We have thought of moving, but with our credit, and all of the economy going south, we have decided to stay put for the time being.

What goes into owning a bearded dragon?
Not a whole lot, these guys are easy to take care of and are super cool animals. They are really tame, kind of like the dog of the lizard world. You have to keep their temp in their cages at 96 degrees in the day, and not cooler than 56 at night, no big deal with a heat lamp. They eat crickets and greens, like collard greens, mustard greens, cilantro, romaine lettuce, kale, anything but Iceberg Lettuce, and Spinach, that can cause digestive problems. We even shred up carrots and radishes for them every now and again. They get about half as long as an Iguana does, so they need about a 20 gallon tank to be in as they reach adulthood. These are very hearty animals, it doesn't take much to keep them going, and they love attention. My kids play with them all the time. If you want to buy one, (Deana!!) then don't get them from a pet store, they will charge you way too much. We still have about 30 babies that we can sell you. Depending on the coloring, from 35.00 to 65.00, and we will guarantee it. Shoot me an email if you are interested, mom2rhett@hotmail.com

I think that does it for now, Rhett just fell asleep on me, and there is 3 hours till the kids get home, I think I am gonna take a nap too!!

I read baby Bearded Dragons need at least a 20 gallon tank and for adults the minimum is 50-60 gallon.

For a family of six, you can make $56,800 per year and get CHIP. Is this poor?
