Signing off......

Today is the offical move in day for our new home. I have been packing non stop, and we will be living in both homes for the next week or so. I am trying to make this a slow transistion for Rhett, as the home we are in now is the only one he has ever known.

I will start today with moving his toys and some clothing items, as well as a TV to show him that Sesame Street can be fun anywhere you watch it. I think we are planning on putting him in our room for the winter. (Not like he hasn't been sleeping with us for the last 3 weeks anyways.)

I am hoping that he transistions well. We are still in the area for our Early Intervention Program, so he will have the same therapsits coming out to work with him. WHEW!!

My kids are excited to move into the new house, but sad to leave their friends, schools, and teachers behind. I can only hope that they can create such strong friendships in their new schools. This was the neighboorhood that I wanted my kids to grow up in, but sometimes God has bigger and better plans for you I guess.

As I have said before anywhere we live is home as long as we are together. I just wish it wasn't so hard to leave this one behind. I think it is easier to leave a home when you make that descision on your own. We have never been forced to move before. Loosing our home on top of all that we have been through this year is really really hard.

But I guess there is only 2 and a half months left in the year, so please pray that we make it through the rest of this year, and that our family has a very uneventful 2008.

I will not be around for a week or so, but when I do get back online, look for pictures of our new home.

I know it's a cliche but I truly believe when God closes a door He opens a window for you. I went through something similar when I was single and childless and I was devastated. I don't know if it would be worse or easier now since I have a loving family and a beautiful child to keep things in perspective. I have faith you will be fine; there are better things ahead for you and your family.

I won't hopeyou have an uneventful2008, but that the events are all joyous and full of love and bounty.

"Drop by" when you get back. :-)
