Sharing our love.....

Rhett and I have spent many days watching Sesame Street together. Some of his favorite songs are the ones that were mine as a child. "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon", is one of his all time favorites.

Every night before bed we rub him down with lotion, put his jammies on, make a fresh bottle of pediasure, and cuddle up in the rocking chair with his favorite blankie. He holds his bottle and is in pure heaven as I run my fingers through his hair and sing him this song.

I know that one of these days he will get bigger and not want it anymore, but for now this is his comfort. I sang it to him after his bronch, and you can be that I will be singing it to him on Friday as he comes out of anesthesia again. He is my hero and I would do anything to comfort him and make him feel better.

The way he looks at me and grins his milky grin, the bond we share, the pure adoratioin for each other. My life is complete with this little soul that God has given me. Home is where Ernie belongs, just as Rhett belongs here with us.

This is my favorite version of this song, the way Aaron Neville sings it with Ernie is just simply captivating........

Ahhh Pam this is one of my favorites too! It has been a long time since I heard it. I can just picture you and Rhett snuggled and singing. Thanks for sharing. You brought a smile to my face with a tear in my eye! Hugs to you both.
