Rhett Fix Anyone?

First of all I have to tell you how nerdy I am. We got a used/new laptop. (Used, but new to us!!) Well last night it wouldn't hook up to the wireless internet at the hospital, then today I realized that there is a little switch off to the side that you have to turn on to get the signal.

In my own defense I have to say that Andy didn't even pick up on it when he was here last night. No fear though, I figured it out.

Then I had my new delima. I took some picutres of our superhero, and I wanted to post them now that I can just blog from Rhett's bedside. But then I thought, crap, I don't have my wire to hook up to the computer to download it. So I was fuming all day that I forgot it.

So THEN I was messing around on the side where the DVD player is, and saw the slot for the SD card. DUH......I am so blonde.

So now.....Ya Da Da Da!!!! I have pictures!!!!!!

The first set are some leftovers from Father's Day....

I drug my kids so they will all sleep in the car.....I don't want to hear "Mom!! He's touching me!!" Or "Mom!! She's looking at me!!"

Okay, I am totally kidding.....This is a rare occurence that all three of them would be asleep. Usually the one in the middle is awake messing with the two littler ones off to the side of him......

This is Chloee trying to squirt daddy with her squirt gun.

And another photo of Rhett in his tubby.....

Now here are some of Monday and Tuesday...

This is in the PICU just after surgery......

Do you just love his Elmo Doll? Thank you to our special friend who sent it up to us!!

This is the sign that we made about his pain meds. If you click on it, you should be able to read it.....

This is in our room on the floor, and it shows a good shot of his tube and his wound dressings. I can't remember if I mentioned before that they have a diaper collecting all of his stomach goo for now. He keeps wanting me to put it on his bum....

This is his I-am-comfy-in-my-morphine-euophoria picture.....

He got his Mickey Mouse from Hospital Bingo today. He keeps singing to me that Mouse's pants are red. Dang he is so smart!!

We have had some great visitors today. We got to see Brynn and Alex....oh my gosh that kid is a love muffin...(good luck tomorrow guys!!) and we also got to see Mike and Becca. Thanks for stopping by. It was GREAT to have some adult conversation. I was getting pretty close to having a tea party with Elmo, Mickey, and his Bear and Puppy Dog....but now I am sane again, and don't have to.

I can't believe that tomorrow is Thursday. Time flies by when you are up here. If anyone wants to stop by we are totally up for visitors. I am used to Rhett talking my ear off, and he has been extremley quite the last few days. As much as I am glad he is doing well and not critically ill, I must admit that I miss his little voice and am getting awfuly lonely!!

Pam,
Thanks for the update. I have been checking your blog off and on over the last few days for updates. It sure sounds like he is getting better each day. We will continue to pray for a speedy recovery. As far as the computer thing, well it sounds like you now know more than me :-).

Try to get some rest because when he is out of there I'm sure you'll be chasing him around again...

Love all the pictures and the sign too. We have one of those switches on our laptop, too. Sometimes we accidently hit it and we can't figure out why the internet isn't working.

I like the drugged picture! It reminds me of when both of his legs were in the air the other day. Call if you need ANYTHING! Lily loves going up there and eating in the cafe ;-) 446-1994

Thanks for the update!! Rhett looks great! And I wish my kids would sleep in the car like that, too ... even if just ONE of them slept ...

Sweet little Rhett! Those photos are amazing, Pam. Hugs all around and so glad you didn't have to resort to the tea party. :) Take care, K.

Pam, Ashton has always slept with one leg crossed over like that also. We once had a nurse tell us that a lot of the heart kids sleep that way.

Glad things are going well for you.

Sounds like he is feeling better. How much longer do you have to stay at PCMC?

I love the pictures of all of the kids sleeping. Too cute!

Wow, that sign is a wonderful idea! That's so cute that he keeps wanting to put the diaper on his bum.

Heres to a speedy recovery, Rhett!!!!! Hugs and kisses from Sammi.

Thank you for sharing all of the pictures. I do have to admit, it kind of breaks my heart for all that he is going through, as well as your family. As you know we have been there ourselves. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as always.

Hope you start feeling better Rhett. You are one awesome, strong little (oh excuse me, big) boy!!! xoxoxo
