The Power of A Wish This Christmas.....

Do you believe in the spirit of Santa?

Macy's does.

This season, the department-store chain is asking children to put letters to Santa in "R.H. Macy Santa Mail" boxes that can be found at Macy's stores. Macy's will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation for each letter received. Officials hope to raise $1 million for the non-profit group, that grants wishes to ill children. The campaign begins Sunday November 9th.

"'Believe' is the articulation of everything we treasure about the holiday season," Peter Sachse, national president of Macy's corporate marketing said in a statement. "We felt strongly that this year it was important to remember and embrace the real sentiment of the season. We'd like to inspire all of America."

Kids can get started on their letters by going to http://www.macysbelieve.com/ and downloading a kit that includes official Santa letterhead and other components to help them compose letters.

For those of you that live in Utah, here is a list of Macy's in our area. Write your letter to Santa, STAMP IT, address it to SANTA AT THE NORTH POLE, and take it to one of the following Macy’s locations:

As many of you know Make-a-Wish holds a special place in our hearts since Rhett has Pulmonary Hypertension and Chronic Lung disease. Therefore his wish was granted in August of this year by the Utah Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was the most amazing night of our lives, not only because Rhett got his wish granted, but also because Rhett got to meet "His Rachel" from Signing Time. Make-A-Wish is one of the most magical things that has ever happened to our family and we love this foundation dearly.

Rhett's Wish....

This is a way for us to give back, without having to dip into our beyond empty pockets. I know that Santa is going to be getting 6 letters from our house dropped off to our local Macy's. I figure the more we advertise it on our blog the more we are helping out Make-A-Wish.

Whaddya say? Are you in?

Doooo it......You know you want to!

Another great site that we are REALLY enjoying this year is this one. You can go and post letters to Santa, and sign up for the naughty and nice list, so you can totally blackmail your kids. How cool is that?!?! Santa even answers your posts. If you sign up for the forum you can share recipes, leave letters to Santa, and there is even a special place for kids with special challenges. There is also a wishing wall, and lots of other really neat things. Go check it out and tell Santa that Rhett and I told you to!

Today I am Thankful for every chance that I get to hug, hold and love each of my kids, and for the cuddles that I get from my husband as we fall asleep each night.

That is way cool. Macy's is doing such a good deed. My ex sister in law is a 6th grade teacher and I'm going to pass that on to her. Wouldn't that be cool if the teachers had students write to Santa for an assignment and Macy's donated? Education and a great cause. Can't get better than that!

Thank you for letting us know! I'll make sure Santa gets lots of letters from my end.

I've been thinking about Chloee all day yesterday/today. My BP has been really low and I don't feel really well, so I can only imagine how she's feeling. I'm keeping her in my prayers, as well as the rest of the Bird Flock!
