Super Duper Sick

So Rhett's White Blood Cell count is 27 THOUSAND 5 HUNDRED. I kid you not. Anyone know what normal is? First person to respond gets a copy of Andy's Buffalo drawing. Let me just give you one hint.It is outrageously high.

It also shows signs of bacteria somewhere. His chest xray looked "cloudy." Meaning some`would`say pneumonia some wouldn't. So once again we are taking up residence at "The House On The Hill" as we call it.

His little heart is just beating so fast. You all know how low his heart rate usually is. When resting it's in the low 50's. Well now it'a in the 160 range while resting. I won't even tell you what it is when he is awake.

He also scared everyone when he let his sats drop to the 70's. He is now on 3 liters of O2 and only sating in the high 80's. He is supposed to be 95 or above for his PH.

When we get to a room I will let you know what room number we will be in. His temp is up again. I need to call the nurse.

Today I am thankful for my sister who can watch my other kids when Rhett and I decide to hang out at PCMC.

Night all, and keep those prayers coming.

Am I allowed to play?! haha, would that be fair? Well ... Chelsea's is 4.2 ... and 27 ... well, that is crazy high!!! Normal is 6.5 - 10.5 (which I believe is 6,500 - 10,500).

Pam,

I am so sorry to hear about Rhett. You sure did not need this right now. To bad they could not just go ahead and put Chloee in the same room so you could get both taken care of at once. LOL!! I know it would not be that easy then either but a thought anyway.

Please keep us updated!

Normal WBC is actually different from facility to facility for the bottom number but the High number is usually close to the same.
So here is normal WBC 4-6 for bottom to 10.4 as high. So 27 is considered REALLY high.

Love,
Sheila

Looks like others have already hit the normal for WBC counts - 5 to 10 (thousand). Vaeh was in with pneumonia last weekend & her white count was 47,500!! That's no joke! I saw the report on her CBC myself.

Praying that Rhett is feeling better quick & he' back home running you ragged! (lol)

Much love & prayers!

Darn it! Poor baby and poor you! I was so caught up in our day yesterday (they cancelled E's surgery - long story) that I am just now seeing this. Of course, you know that I am praying. I'll head up to our church today too and light a candle for you. Hug my Rhetters for me! Hang in there, Pam. Call if you need anything.

Well Pam, this is the story of your life. I'm just glad you got him there and they are taking good care of him. Call me if you need anything.

As far as the contest, I'm pretty sure 3 or 4 already got it right so I'm a little late. (darn it)

I'll say a prayer for our little guy and try to get a little rest as well.

PS Have you been cornered by rude people on form of payment yet? Just wondering if they at least got you in a room first.
