Still No Answers......

Last night was awful. They drew labs every two hours, and man it was a long night. I keep telling him that he looks like a junkie. :)

He is still pretty down, but we met a new little friend that has Down Syndrome too!! She is cute, and is only a month younger than Rhett. She has Pulmonary Hypertension too!! (No worries Chelsea you are still his number one babe though!!!)

So we are hanging out here waiting for tests. They are going to do an echo, and maybe switch around his meds for the PH. They are also going to do a swallow study to see why he is doing such weird things when he drinks.

We haven't seen anyone from ENT, but the attending physician has said that if they can't get his breathing situation figured out that we may end up still getting a trache. I don't know if it would be during this stay or not, but we have alot of mysteries to unravel, and that will be a last resort type of thing.

I know it is on everyone's minds that this surgery has just made everything worse, including and most importantly his Pulmonary Hypertension. His heart rate is very low, but his blood pressure is good. His heart rate while he is sleeping was at 50 all night. When he wakes up it is in the 80's.

He is just hanging out in his crib watching a whole lot of Baby Signing Time. I think I can officially repeat it backwards! It's all good though, we love it and it has done so many wonderful things for him.

Anyways, I better be back to my boy. Thank you for all of the prayers. I will update when we know more.

(Oh, and Andy, this is a rated G blog, no more swearing, remember your kids are reading this, and Monkey See Monkey Do. Don't make me send you to time out!! Love You)

Well, I do't know if it's any comfort or not but Nik's hear rate is always super, super low when he's sleeping...it used to freak the nurses out but the cardiologist told us it was "normal for Nik" and his heart is fine. (He's had a PDA ligation, open-heart ASD repair and a balloon procedure for pulmonary valve stenosis.)

Hang in there and try to get some rest, Pam!

Oh man, I totally feel you. Maybe you can get those convenient little "tubies" put into his chest. JK We were relieved to have them though b/c it meant no more poking! Hang in there and keep us posted! So glad to hear he's not moving on to other girls!

Love you guys!
